A gastronomer’s log that went blog. 400 degrees started as a Facebook album of cooking adventures and misadventures that I called “A Gastronomer’s Log.” Though photos will still be posted on Facebook, this new space will hopefully allow for greater discussion, and more importantly new recipes from friends!

Welcome, I’m Kiran! I’m a librarian by training and work at a foundation by profession making me rather unqualified to manage a kitchen. Be warned, I’m no cook. This is just a learning process for me. I like the task of adding measured ingredients to create something new. Its a tangible process with a definitive beginning and definitive end, even if the end product is inedible. Comments are always welcome, I’d love to hear how a recipe turned out for you, what you did differently, and what amazing food I’m missing out on.
